Among one of the most buzz-worthy names on the pan circuit here in Trinidad & Tobago, Johann Chuckaree is a star perpetually on the rise; a sharp, dynamic all-round musician & entrepreneur. Critically acclaimed as the protégé of Len "Boogsie" Sharpe, today his belt is lined with countless performances, album releases and recordings devoted to his sweet love for our national instrument.
Johann has enjoyed touring the globe as part of cultural contingents representing Trinidad & Tobago. He has travelled as a Cultural Ambassador for the Ministry of Tourism & Culture and has shared his talents throughout the Caribbean, the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, France, India, the UAE & Singapore.
A Senior Member of HADCO Phase II Pan Groove, Johann lists one of his most memorable moments as sharing the stage with Trinidadian born Grammy award winning recording artiste Heather Headley during her first ever local concert at the National Academy of Performing Arts in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad (2011).
At the age of 18, Johann released his first CD entitled "A Sweet Touch of Christmas" (2007) and later, his second CD "In De Yard" (2012). He has also been featured on numerous recordings with The Marionettes Chorale, Len "Boogsie" Sharpe & David Rudder and in Live Performances with Machel Montano, Voice, Neval Chatelal, Raymond Ramnarine & Farmer Nappy to name a few.
Known for his musical versatility, Johann also performs as a pianist, keyboardist and drummer.
When he’s not on stage, Johann is running his own Information Technology and Construction business and co-managing Indigisounds, a unique high-quality indigenous Caribbean sample sounds library used by local and international music producers and arrangers
