JOHANN CHUCKAREE

About Johann

Among one of the most buzz-worthy names on the pan circuit here in Trinidad & Tobago, Johann Chuckaree is a star perpetually on the rise; a sharp, dynamic all-round musician & entrepreneur. Critically acclaimed as the protégé of Len "Boogsie" Sharpe, today his belt is lined with countless performances, album releases and recordings devoted to his sweet love for our national instrument.

Johann has enjoyed touring the globe as part of cultural contingents representing Trinidad & Tobago. He has travelled to Argentina as a Cultural Ambassador for the Ministry of Tourism and previously has shared his talents in Barbados, St Lucia, London, Germany, France, New York, Boston & Los Angeles.

Johann lists one of his most memorable moments as sharing the stage with Trinidadian born Grammy award winning recording artiste Heather Headley during her first ever local concert at the National Academy of Performing Arts in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad (2011).

Known for his musical versatility, Johann also performs as a pianist, keyboardist and drummer.

When he’s not on stage, Johann is running his own Information Technology and Construction business and co-managing Indigisounds, a unique high-quality indigenous Caribbean sample sounds library used by local and international music producers and arrangers
